About us
POASH — Four Generations of Craft. One Global Vision.
Some brands are built. Poash was inherited.
Our story begins not with a business plan, but with a pair of hands — my great-grandfather's hands, bent over intricate jewelry designs in the valleys of Kashmir, laying the first stone of what would become a four-generation legacy of extraordinary craft.
That flame was carried forward by my grandfather, Mr. Habib Ullah Wali — a master goldsmith of Srinagar, celebrated across Kashmir for his unrivalled expertise in precious stones and the kind of craftsmanship that made pieces feel less like jewellery and more like heirlooms in the moment they were made.
His legacy did not end with him. It multiplied. My father, Din Mohammad Wali, and his brother, Mushtaq Ahmed Wali, carried that legacy forward when they co-founded Almass Jewellers — one of Kashmir's most respected names in fine jewelry. Together, they revived the ancient arts of Kundan and Meenakari, breathing new life into techniques that are centuries old, and proving that tradition and modernity are not opposites — they are partners.
I grew up inside all of this. The smell of a workshop. The weight of a well-made piece. The understanding, passed down without words, that jewellery is never just decoration — it is memory, identity, and love made physical.
Today, I live in Istanbul, Turkey — a city where silver has been worked by master craftsmen for over five centuries, where the Grand Bazaar's artisan lanes carry the same reverence for craft that I grew up with in Srinagar. It felt less like a coincidence and more like a calling.
I founded Poash to honour everything that came before me — and to take it somewhere new. Our collections bring together the soul of Kashmiri jewellery heritage and the mastery of Turkish silversmithing: authentic 925 sterling silver, intricate detailing, timeless design, and the kind of intention that only four generations of craft knowledge can produce.
What makes Poash truly unlike anything else is this: every piece I design, every collection I create, every decision of craft and quality is made under the daily, hands-on supervision of my father, Din Mohammad Wali. He is not a name in our history — he is present, every single day, ensuring that what leaves the Poash workshop meets the standard his father set before him, and his father before that. Without him, Poash would be a brand. With him, it is a dynasty.
We are not simply a jewellery brand. We are the continuation of a story that began with my great-grandfather's hands — and that we now place, with great care, into yours.
Welcome to Poash. This piece has been waiting four generations to reach you.
